Little Moments of Peace

Little moments of peace. Isn't this what every mom is searching for?

Forget the big moments. Just let me find five minutes (ok, five seconds) to feel that sense of calm in my day....that feeling that everything is ok in the world....no matter what chaos is erupting around me, I'm still able to find some measure of inner peace.

Andrea Alban Gosline's book, "Little Moments of Peace: Daily Reflections for Mothers" serves as the perfect reminder that daily life with children is not perfect. And that it's ok. She reminds us to be gentle with ourselves as well as our children, forgiving the mistakes and moving forward.

I agree with Andrea that paying attention to the little moments is what brings us peace. Slowing down long enough to experience the "little moments" reminds us of what being a parent is all about. So put your "to do" list on pause and go soak up a smile from your little one. Peace and perfection will be yours.
