Searching for the Big O (Organization, that is)

Is it possible to be too organized? I wouldn't know. Despite my desire (& enjoyment) of a tidy house & orderly days, I've learned that life with three kids (one being a toddler) means giving up some things. Organization & cleanliness are on the top of that list. I've learned to live with toys underfoot, a dirty dish (or twelve) in the sink, jelly stains on my toddler's clothes, spots on my living room rug (what makes a builder think cream-colored carpeting is a good thing?), and clothing in at least 3 of the 4 stages of laundry at any one time: flung helter-skelter around the kids room, in the hamper needing to be washed, in the basket needing to be folded, in the basket needing to be put away! So, I admit, I've more or less lost control of the house. But there is one thing I have under my thumb (no dear hubby, not you)...it's my grocery list.

With my "All Out Of" notepad, magnetized right to the fridge, I have no excuse but to check off the milk as we pour the last glass or mark the dark chocolate as I gobble the last delightful piece. Hey, some things you do NOT want to leave to chance on your next visit to the grocery!
